I’ll get this out of the way early: Yes, I am aware that this is not technically a dress but instead a matching set. Gasps at the audacity! Screams! Faints! Hear me out. Matching sets are some of my favorite looks, and when you wear them together like Zara and nature intended, it actually has the full effect of a dress. Let’s not ignore a good look simply because its seams have not been bound together in holy matrimony.
The real reason I like to include a matching set in 30 Dresses in 30 Days each season is to offer the reminder to you (and to me!) that it offers major bang for your buck. You didn’t just buy one dress, you bought at least three outfits when you start thinking of them as separates, too. Bonus: This look is less than $120. So I’ll leave you with that before we go down the “it’s not a dress” rabbit hole any further.

This look has the whole comfort thing going, for sure, but what’s really drawing me in is the gorgeous camel color. It’s a shade too often relegated to outerwear, and I’m happy to see it taking center stage in this matching set. Of course, the belt is a separate entity—perhaps my best vintage find of the year—and if it’s too much for your office, go with something simple or wear the set sans belt. You’ll still look like a million bucks.

The A-line of the skirt and strategic elastic waistband give the look a classic shape, and the subtlety of the texture makes it a brilliant canvas for accessories and shoes you love. Also, if you can resist slight ballooning in a sleeve, teach me your ways, because I sure can’t. Keep scrolling for more work week go-tos to keep your closet busy.

Camel is one of my favorites color at this time of the year. As you, I am a lover of matching sets, as you said before, they are so versatile cause when you bought it, you are taking with you more than one outfit. Your shoes are breathtaking, I felt in love with them, the color, the design, I don’t have words to describe it……
New blog post: Today I’m talking about an important subject in a woman’s life. What can we eat when we are expecting!!! Don’t miss it because it can be really useful if you share it to a friend or maybe a close relative…….

I sew. And I’ve noticed that vintage sewing patterns refer to any skirt and bodice made in the same solid or print fabric as a 2-piece dress. So I think you’re safe including to this gorgeousness in your 30 Dresses in 30 Days collection!
You have the most wonderful sense of style!
This set is gorgeous! Love the neutral color head to toe!

“Let’s not ignore a good look simply because its seams have not been bound together in holy matrimony.” Hahaha I always love your writing. And I love this set! I love sets in general–skirt and top, towels, pajamas–it’s hard to go wrong. Love this series so much, Mary!
