There’s some logic at work here. You want to look polished and professional, but we’re talking about long conference days that feel jam-packed and nonstop.  Find something elevated from your everyday workwear, but make sure you’re comfortable, too. I’m talking the dress and the shoes, friends — don’t neglect your feet, you’ll need them on your team.

I love love LOVE this dress which is somehow, inexplicably, under $100.  [Pause for reaction.]  I know.  It’s a gorgeous soft satin, so it’s comfortable and feminine, but the shape is still super chic and polished—only in need of a few simple accessories and a classic shoe.  I have to say, this particular shade of burgundy means business.  It’ll take you through work conferences, holiday parties, dressy dinners, and beyond.  Man do I love a good multi-tasker.

I find the color absolutely divine, and love that it has a stronger purple undertone than most burgundies you come across.  YUM, right?! I think I’d like to own much more of this shade, thank you very much.

Also, the tie detail at the waist makes the whole thing super flattering.  Not only does it create a beautiful hourglass silhouette, but the gathering across the stomach also means the dress is very forgiving—a great thing for a dress to have on its resume during the holiday season, no?
