I know what you’re thinking. Corporate crop top? Must be an oxymoron. However, the renaissance of the crop top trend that we’ve seen in the last year has been less about skin exposure like that of its 80’s and 90’s counterparts (think Madonna and Britney… then quickly purge both images from you mind), and more about creating that modern, boxy silhouette. Therefore, making the trend work at work is not nearly as difficult (or scandalous) as it may seem. In today’s ensemble, I’m wearing a basic fitted black dress with this great geometric crop top over it. If you don’t have a dress like it, wear a pencil skirt and a camisole. Either way, you’re able to master the cropped trend at the office without risking any awkward midriff exposure. Mission accomplished.
