You might recognize this pencil skirt from last week’s Triple Threat post where I paired it with a striped tee. You may also recognize the skirt’s print from this post which features a midi dress by the same designer featuring a very similarly brightly colored abstract floral print.
I realize that description just required a six-car pileup of four adverbs and two adjectives, but it was worth underscoring the depth and breadth of my fondness for the colorful cocktail that is this collection of Milly pieces. You know from my post last week that my favorite kind of floral is an abstract floral, so this print party is right up my alley.
It’s been 70 and sunny here in San Francisco recently (I know, the worst), so I felt it was high time to break out of my neutral binge with this colorful ensemble. Especially with New York Fashion Week starting later this week, I’m ready to start shedding the neutral-heavy palettes of past runways and start embracing the re-emergence of color! Orange in particular was featured prominently on the Spring 2016 runways of Altuzarra and others, so I think Netflix is right. It really might be the new black.
Happy Tuesday!
P.S. New favorites have been added to my shop page, so check ’em out here!
Hmmm. The sweater reminds me to go back to the drycleaners with the sweater that they shrunk last month. I love the skirt, but the sweater looks like laundry gone bad. Regular length with 3/4 sleeves or cropped top with short sleeves in summer; but this combo just looks like it shrunk.
