A couple of weeks ago, I shared my hot weather styling tips here. As we stare down the barrel of what is always a brutally hot August (certainly in NYC), those warm weather survival tools are as important as ever. For me, the heat is especially brutal on my feet (read: Swollen and Sweaty, the Sub-Ankle Scandal) so ditching pumps for the heavenly footbeds of Birks is among my favorite moments of the day. While they’re likely not going to work in the office, these Birkenstocks are about as comfortable as it gets when braving the summer heat on your commute to work. And, it doesn’t hurt that the 90s favorites are back in a big way. Who says being trendy can’t also be practical? No one. Okay, other than my dad. Literally no one else.
