8 New Beauty & Skincare Must-Haves
1
Cle De Peau Concealer
This Cle De Peau Concealer has no equal. It’s a multitasking concealer stick known and beloved for its smooth, skin-like application, long-lasting full coverage, and a seamless finish that doesn’t crease—at any point in the long day. My face and I can attest that it fully lives up to these claims. While I do still love my Wander concealer because it checks many of these same boxes, I find that I don’t use the highlighter end of the Wander stick at all, which feels wasteful. And, while I’m able to find a color that works for me, Wander’s color options are far more limited for all shoppers.
Cle De Peau’s SPF 25 concealer comes in 11 shades that cover, correct, and conceal every and anything you need it to, all while being incredibly moisturizing and long-lasting. It really is the gold standard in concealers. It’s an investment, but one you can make confidently since a tiny amount goes a long way and one tube lasts forever. I use shade Ivory.

Aveda Botanical Repair Mask in Rich or Light
This deep conditioning hair treatment was first introduced to me by my stylist at the salon. But I was delighted to find out I can re-purchase at Nordstrom, too. It’s intended to strengthen your hair and help prevent future damage from all the charming things we love to do to our locks. I was amazed by the results after first receiving the treatment at the salon (my hair was so shiny and bouncy). And I love that it comes in two formulas, Rich for medium-to-thick hair and a Light version for fine-to-medium hair. I use the Rich formula, but my stylist says that the light version is also incredible for nourishing fine hair without weighing it down.
3
Urban Decay Eyeliner
This is, without question, my favorite eyeliner. Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil is SO highly recommended and rated, I’m not surprised in any way that it’s become a must-have for me too. The waterproof formula applies incredibly smoothly. It lasts all day, and works well for either a strong line or a blur for softer looks. It comes in 24 colors. Though I’ve been wearing Whiskey, a rich brown, basically every day of the pandemic.
4
Living Proof Dry Shampoo
You’ve seen me mention this Living Proof Dry Shampoo before, back when the product and I were in our early days of courtship. Now, we’re committed. This is my must-have dry shampoo. I cannot be without it. The thing that sets this dry shampoo apart from countless others is the extent to which it actually cleans your hair and keeps it clean. The brand’s formula absorbs oil and odors to leave your hair actually clean. Rather than just masking the key issues and leaving you feeling grimy.
When it comes to using this product, I’m a firm believer that dry shampoo should be applied preventatively to your roots immediately after blow drying clean hair. By waiting for your hair to get greasy, you’ve given your product a tougher job (though this product is up to that task as well). Since I’ve started using this product consistently, I’ve noticed that my hair still feels freshly washed even at day three and four. I can actually go a full week without washing my hair! I’m probably wearing it up or in a headband on days five and six. But the fact that I can have four good hair days consecutively with this product means it’s an absolute keeper.
5
Benefit Gimme Brow Gel
Benefit’s Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Eyebrow Gel is a tinted and volumizing fiber gel that creates the look of natural fullness. It makes such a difference in my eyebrow routine thanks to both its effectiveness and its ease of application. There are ZERO clumps. And it also does not have that dreaded artificial finish that so many brow gels have. So the result is simply natural, fuller-looking brows, that stay in place. The best part about this product is that it has allowed me to use significantly less of my eyebrow pencil. (Anastasia is still my favorite pencil, but the tube itself doesn’t last as long as I’d like. So maximizing its lifespan with Benefit’s brow gel is key.) I use shade #3 Neutral Light Brown, and its volumizing, natural finish stays flawless all day.
6
Dr. Lancer Caviar Lime Acid Peel
If you need a skin SOS mask, you just found it. Sometimes, I get a little behind on my skincare. It happens! When I’ve been skipping steps at night or in the morning and my skin is looking dull and/or hyperpigmentation spots are rearing their ugly heads, this Lancer Caviar Lime Acid Peel mask works miracles by restoring the healthiest glow completely free of redness or irritation.
This mask, while very strong, is also somehow gentle enough for me to use the morning of an important event (or Zoom event, I should say), without stressing about showing chemical exfoliation or retinol telltale signs. (Many of these products work wonders. But I often have to endure a day of redness and puffiness after using them. Not the case with this Lancer peel.) The key ingredients include 10% glycolic acid, 10% phytic acid, and retinol—skin heroes that come to my rescue and revive my skin when I need it most.
7
Golde Original Tumeric Superfood Latte Blend
This morning ritual is now a mainstay in my house. The Tumeric Superfood Latte blend is a coconut-based powder with six essential superfoods to support your skin’s glow. As well as helping with debloating and immunity. The benefits are easy to boast. But the fact that I actually notice them is what makes this product a keeper. Each package includes 30 daily servings, and can be enjoyed with hot milk (I use almond), in your coffee, or the smoothie of your choice. It quickly becomes a habit you’re happy to add to your routine.
8
Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm
This Aesop Aromatique Hand Balm is a miracle worker for dry skin, and also happens to smell incredible. I started with just a 3oz tube (which is a great option for keeping in your purse) and rapidly graduated to the 17oz pump, after falling madly in love. It’s an incredibly rich blend of fragrant botanicals and skin-softening emollients that save your dehydrated hands and cuticles. Specifically made to be used daily, this pump has secured a permanent place on my bedside table.
Important Note: This Aesop hand cream does have a very strong, woody scent. To be honest, I thought it was too much for me at first. But now I have come to absolutely love it. If that’s not your jam and/or you need something lighter in fragrance, this Aveda hand cream is another favorite of mine that works incredibly well and has the ratings to prove it. I absolutely love its clean, fresh scent.
Remember: Nordstrom offers shoppers some pretty unique benefits like free shipping and returns, curbside pickup (yep, you never even have to get out of your car and come into contact with another potentially un-masked person), and The Nordy Club rewards membership where you can earn every time you shop.
Thanks to Nordstrom and ShopStyle for partnering on this post!
