I may have mentioned (once or twice) how much I adore the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. If you haven’t shopped it, did summer even happen? Do yourself and your wardrobe this favor, and check out the below edit of must-shops before the sale ends this Sunday, August 5th. And be warned—when they say the sale ends, they mean it. All of these prices will go up on August 6th. Go, go, go!
I am a big fan of stocking up on live-in-them jeans during this sale. There’s a lot to dig through, but this pair of DL1961 skinnies really stood out, and not just because they’re some how, inexplicable, under $100. A comfortable, flattering rise and a little bit of stretch keep them versatile, and a raw hem at the ankle prevents them from being just another basic jean. A comfy, well-fitting pair of black jeans is a closet MUST and this is the perfect time to invest in an awesome brand when it’s on major sale. By the way, has anyone forgotten that you basically LIVE in skinny jeans and boots from October through April?
First of all, how cute is this bar cart?! Second of all, it doesn’t have to be a bar cart. The versatility of small tables on wheels is endless, especially if you live in an apartment or small space where double-duty furniture is the key to success. In fact, I have a similar bar cart in my bathroom for housing all of the extra lotions and potions that don’t fit elsewhere. I’m a particular fan of the black and gold combination, but it also comes in total gold which would go with any decor.
Earring obsession. I repeat: EARRING OBSESSION. Please freak out over these Jenny Bird open disc earrings right along with me. Do they or do they not solve every single one of those “this outfit is missing something” problems? Trust me, they do.
And then there’s a big bottle of lotion. Seriously though, consider buying this massive bottle of Kiehl’s Creme de Corps while it’s marked down. It’s an unbelievable steal on one of the most luxurious body creams out there, but it’s also just smart. When itchy skin season begins (and it will), not only will you be ready for it rather than digging through the scary cabinet under the sink for moisturizer, you’ll have been prepping for it—if not preventing it—long before.
If this Monica Vinader bracelet looks familiar, it’s because I’ve been wearing it nonstop for the past 3+ years. My love for this bracelet is two-fold: First, it’s gorgeous. Simple, classic, one of those wear-everyday pieces that almost become a signature. Second, it makes such a sweet gift. It’s engravable (mine has my monogram), and if you’ve got bridesmaids, sisters, or friends to gift this year, something classic and personal that works with everyone’s sense of style is pure genius.
You know you should probably get a bag, right? I have my eye on this OAD convertible satchel for anyone who lives in the city and commutes to work (or happy hour) via the train. It’s a perfectly polished little top handle bag, but the crossbody strap allows you to be hands-free at a moment’s notice. I’m also such a huge fan of these chic little pockets on the bag’s interior that really make it a special piece. This is one you’ll keep and wear forever.
