11 Things I Just Bought from the Epic Fall Shopbop Sale

You’re probably going to want to block off the rest of the day for this one…

I don’t sleep on sales. If you’ve been a frequent Memorandum visitor, you know I don’t permit you to sleep on sales either.  Today, the Shopbop Fall Event of the Season Sale requires your immediate attention.  It’s epic, offering 20% off your entire order if it’s under $500, and 25% off if it’s over $500, with code STOCKUP18.  Almost everything on the site is included in the sale (all brand new fall goodness) so this is a genius time to realize that last fall’s wardrobe has lost its luster and throw a few new options into rotation.  The sale ends September 29th (this Saturday) at 11:59pm, so be quick about it (and make sure to DM me all your best finds plz).  Until then, I give you the 11 things I just purchased…

BOOTS

Public Service Announcement: All of Stuart Weitzman is on sale!  I’ll give you a minute to pick your jaw up off the floor… you good?  There’s no better brand for those “I need a good boot/shoe for [insert literally any event]” moments.  If you’re curious, I settled on these. (I know, just one pair. I showed restraint.)

BLAZER

If you thought blazers were big last year, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet. Get ‘em while they’re hot, especially this delightfully chic fine checked number. It’s got an “I’m leading this meeting” way about it, and yet, still looks super chic with jeans.  If you’re as obsessed with suiting as I am, you’re probably going to want to spring for the matching pants as well.

OLIVE CARDIGAN

Cozy but not sloppy might just be my favorite emotion.  This Madewell cardigan is every bit as cozy as it is put-together.  In other words it’s my ideal garment.  P.S. Madewell, how about a few more colorways, yeah?  The olive is PERFECT, but I’d like to own it in at least 13 other shades too.

CLASSIC DRESS

This dress should look very familiar to you, it’s literally one of the most popular items I’ve ever shared.  Now offered in a delicate pink and striking deep blue, I’d recommend snagging this wear-forever beauty before it sells out again.

MIDI SKIRT

In an unexpected twist, I got an unexpected skirt.  Oversized button detail?  Topstitching? Denim?  Sure, yeah, throw ‘em all in there.  This is one of those pieces I have a feeling I’ll get a ton of wear out of without even trying.  It’s also got a seasonless thing going on that I’m not mad at.

PUFF SLEEVE TURTLENECK

There are sooo many good sweaters on sale right now, it’s almost unfair.  It was nearly impossible to pick one, but given my current obsession with puff shoulders, I bought this guy in hot pink, and I’m never looking back.  It also comes in lilac (SWOON), so good luck deciding.

TORTOISE SHELL HOOP EARRINGS

Tortoise shell hoops are everywhere for fall, so now seems like a pretty great time to get yours. I opted for this BaubleBar moment, and I’m loving the gold details.

SATCHEL

I can’t say no to a well-structured bag, and this one has been calling my name for weeks now.  It’s in this delicious cognacy-y color, “Amber,” which is not quite brown, not quite peach, but 100% going everywhere with me this fall.

DRAPE TOP

I am loving a wrapped drapey neck at the moment (cue my recent burgundy look) and I’m quite confident that this black number will be my go-to dinner date top all fall and winter.  Can’t wait to wear it with high-waisted jeans and black booties.

PUFFER COAT

Last but not least, the coats are insane.  Outerwear is never the first thing we think of during a sale (especially this early in the season), but really with discount like this there’s no better time to commit.  I opted for a classic puffer that I know I can throw on literally any time the weather feels the least bit Elsa.  Also, it’s worth noting that puffer coats are HUGE this season, so bring on the tufted down layers!

  1. Just your average Joanna.

I completely love your style, but holy cow, this is far from affordable fashion!! It would be awesome if you showed how to achieve similar looks with clothes around price ranges from H&M or Zara… I know you sometimes include affordable options, but would love to see them on.
