    Leopard Tee

Can we talk about this price tag for a second? I love long sleeve tees in fall—they’re an essential layering piece that’s never not a good idea to have around in bulk. But sometimes I get sick of my basic black and white tees and want something a little more exciting. These leopard tees have crazy high ratings, and crazy low price tags. Honestly they’re a sneeze above being free, it’s ridiculous. Also, there are endless cuts to choose from, and “there are too many great options” is a complaint that no woman has had ever.

    & Other Stories Cardigan

Hear this: Cardigans are going to play a MAJOR role in your fall and winter style, so start your moodboards now, beginning with this delightfully cozy and lovingly detailed little number. I love a good exaggerated sleeve, and the wrap detailing beautifully accentuates the waist which really brings something new to your closet that hasn’t been hanging in there forever as a back-of-desk-chair cardigan. (We all have them.) While I’m at it, how gorgeous is this shade of blue?

    Express One Eleven

Yes, Express as in the Express that you used to shop in real life in a mall right before swinging by the food court. Express has a line called One Eleven that includes such good basics, and it’s absolutely genius for anyone who feels like their summer essentials are a little lacking. I absolutely love these super soft, super affordable tops and just bought a bunch more for enjoying my last weeks of pregnancy in ultimate comfort. The London Tee is a particular favorite of mine.  I think I have it in about 7 colors by now.

    Ballet-Neck Tees

I’m refreshing my tees for spring, as one does, and I really love the neckline on this beauty. Yes, yes I could continue right along with the standard Vs and crewnecks, but why not have a little more fun with the stuff you wear preeeeetty much constantly? I think we’ll be seeing more of this neckline this year, just a thought. One note, a review mentions that it runs small, so size up. Otherwise, enjoy a killer top that shows off your collarbone.

The Perfect Layering Tee, Made Even Better

Despite trying a million and one different “basic tees” over the years, the J. Crew perfect shirt continues to be my go-to.  I’ve been doing a little spring-cleaning closet purge, and every year I seem to throw out a million of the same cheap layering tees and basics that I snatch up from discount retailers.  I’m always lured by the idea that buying a basic white t-shirt shouldn’t cost more than $25, despite the fact that these tees almost invariably fail to live through their second washing without stretching out or getting a weird, warbled neckline.  J. Crew perfect t-shirts…

    Rachel Zoe one-shoulder blouses

If you’ve followed me for any length of time you know that I’m a sucker for a one-shouldered top.  With eyes on spring, I’m totally salivating over two in particular right now from Rachel Zoe, this gorgeous ruffle blouse and this long-sleeve top with choker detail.  I think they’d be especially beautiful for any brides-to-be at a bridal shower or bachelorette party.

The Best Affordable, Non-Iron Button-Down Shirts

I am a bonafide hoarder of white button-down shirts.  Since they often get stained season to season, I’m always looking for affordable options and recently, I discovered these men’s non-iron button down shirts at Uniqlo which have quickly become a favorite.  As mentioned, they are indeed in the men’s section, but lucky for ladies, they go all the way down to size XXS.  Since the style right now is to be slightly boxy and masculine in silhouette, the fit is absolutely perfect and for under $30, I’ve hoarded them in every color. FYI, if you haven’t purchased non-iron button-downs before,…

The Cashmere Maxi Cardigan You Will Never Take Off

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is open to the public and still going STRONG.  Yesterday, I shared a few favorite sale picks in addition to my post outlining the best ways to navigate the sale. I keep going back to the sale and making new discoveries each time, most recently, THIS MAGNIFICENT HOODED CASHMERE DUSTER.  I ordered the oatmeal color, but after receiving it and realizing that I will actually LIVE in this all fall and winter, I’m going back for the grey.
