Clip-On Ring Light For Laptops and Phones

I don’t know about you, but I’ve grown weary of my setup for work zoom calls—specifically, the early-pandemic ring light apparatus that perches next to my computer and loves to fall over, get tangled in my other cords, etc. At the same time, I am keenly interested in not appearing like a murderous gremlin in a cave when speaking with colleagues or clients, so a lighting solution is necessary. Personally, I’m hoping that Apple’s computers will come with built-in lighting situations at some point but for now, I’ve found this clip-on ring light. It is completely cordless and clips to…

    Thin Under-The-Rug Extension Cords

If you’re unhappy with the outlet placement in certain rooms of your home, consider running an extension cord underneath your rugs—specifically these extension cords. They’re extra thin to allow for minimal rug disruption and tripping opportunities. Here’s a great video from Chris Loves Julia if you want to see them in action!

Laptop Port For USB, USB-C, SD Cards, and More

We love taking professional photos with our DSLR camera every chance we get, so are constantly in need of a seamless way to upload those memories. This laptop port is my absolute favorite because it contains USB, USB-C, Thunderbolt, SD and Micro SD ports all in ideal number and placement. I love that the device is super compact and almost becomes an extension of your keyboard surface, so the port isn’t dangling from your laptop while you work. Also, the placement of the SD and Micro SD ports on the bottom of the device keeps them more protected than other…

    Cozi Family Organizer App

While the family calendar on the wall in the kitchen is sweet, there’s got to be a more organized, streamlined, and easily updatable way to do things. My family and I are finally getting on the Cozi bandwagon. Everyone I know raves about the app’s ability to keep everything together and organized in one place that can be easily accessed by any member of the family at any time. The Organizer App is simple, free, and soon-to-be an essential in your household—it is in mine.

    A Smart Basketball

IT’S A SMART BASKETBALL. While my inner 13-year-old is losing her mind, current-me is happy I’m now old enough to have my own credit card. IT MUST BE MINE. DribbleUp is a fun and interactive tool for building skill, working out, or just having fun. It connects to your smart device (of course), can be used indoors or outside, and there are even interactive classes the whole family can enjoy. You might want to bookmark this for your Christmas lists NOW.

    Nightcapit

This is genius and such a necessary innovation. The NightCap is a scrunchie that’s hiding a very special secret. Tucked inside is a “cap” for your drink when you’re out at a crowded or dark venue. (Obviously speaking post-pandemic here.) The NightCap is a little extra security against something being slipped into your drink, which is honestly such a boost of comfort and confidence. There’s a small hole for a straw, too! It’s one more way to have fun safely and I love that. This would make a stellar gift, too!

    Laptop Side Screen

Stop what you’re doing and immediately get yourself a portable slide monitor for your laptop. Not detached from it, or sitting above it, I mean, this genius work-from-home addition attaches to your very laptop itself and gives you two screens! It’s basically like giving your laptop an extra limb, and your workflow twice the efficiency. If you need the workspace of a second screen but your physical workspace doesn’t allow for it (or you simply want to be more mobile than a separate monitor allows) this is ideal.

    Outlet With USB Plugs

Hello, how was I today years old when I found out about wall outlets that have extra sockets PLUS USB SOCKETS? Was everyone just like… using these behind my back? Things are about to get SO MUCH EASIER around here. Shoutout to my sweet friend Meghan Donovan for bringing these to my attention. (They’re really affordable, too!)

    Clear Phone Ring Holders

I’ve shared these smart, universal phone ring holders that attach to any case before, but just as a reminder, they have multiple benefits. They double as a little kickstand, so in addition to preventing you from dropping your (expensive!) phone while you’re holding it, you can also use it to prop up your device for hands-free video watching. Also, the piece that adheres to your phone is clear acrylic, so your beautiful phone case isn’t obscured in the slightest. Win-win-win.
