    Sunday Riley Clean Rinse

After a weekend full of holiday parties, it can feel like my hair is more dry shampoo than hair. Thankfully, I discovered this clarifying rinse from Sunday Riley. The AHA/BHA-infused serum cleanses the scalp of product buildup and oil, leaving your hair clean and refreshed. Highly recommend.

Claw clips, scrunchies, headbands… Emi Jay has pretty much everything your hair could ever desire. There are tons of adorable stocking stuffers to choose from, but this custom paddle brush stood out to me as a perfect, personalized gift.

    Mini Bobby Pins

Bobby pins have been a mainstay in hair care since the 1920s. However, I only recently discovered these mini bobby pins and I’m so glad I did. These shrunken-down bobby pins are just like their grown-up counterpart, but are perfect for tiny flyaways on adults (or toddlers) with fine hair.

Aveda Blonde Revival Purple Toning Shampoo and Conditioner

Blondes know the importance of reliable toning products—especially in summertime. And, Memorandum readers obviously know how I feel about Aveda. The brand recently launched a new purple toning shampoo and conditioner pairing and it is outstanding. They let me test it out a couple months before launch, so believe me when I tell you that I know it’s GOOD. Better still, Nordstrom has it on sale for 25% off right now!

    Coco & Eve Hair Mask

Yes, this conditioning hair mask is very “Instagram ad where everyone raves about it,” but there’s a reason for that. IT’S SO GOOD. Coco & Eve’s Like A Virgin Super Nourishing Coconut & Fig Hair Masque is a major boost of hydration and nourishment for dry, frazzled, and all-around needy strands of hair in absolutely every hair type. The mask uses coconut, fig, shea butter, linseed and argan oil to strengthen and restore your hair—plus it’s a super-concentrated formula, so a little goes a long way (this tub will last you forever). Once you try it, you’ll tell everyone about…

    Silk Hairties

While I love a ponytail, I’m not much of a fan of hair creases that make me look like I caught my mane in a door jamb. These silk hair ties (which are included in the current Shopbop Sale!) stay put, while still treating your hair gently and preventing breakage. They’re also magically cuter than normal hair ties, but not as big and scene-stealing as scrunchies.

    Davines Liquid Spell

According to a couple of my fine-haired friends, this Davines Liquid Spell mousse is the best hair product ever. It creates tons of volume and really lengthens the time you can go between blow outs, which is ideal in summer when you don’t want to suffer under the hair dryer’s firey breath more often than necessary. To use, just add a small amount to damp (not super wet!) hair, and then blow dry with a round brush or a brush/dryer combo tool. Dry in sections, working your way toward your crown. Happy hairstyling!

    Briogeo Hair Mask

Hair hydration in the summer is a real necessity, whether we’re having an actual summer with like… plans, or just maintaining hydrated strands in the backyard while we commandeer our childrens’ baby pools for our own use. Fold this hair mask into your regular rotation and end summer without hair that I’ll endearingly call “straw.” In all seriousness, these socially distant times are a great opportunity to give our hair a little TLC!

LET’S TALK BABY HAIR MANAGEMENT. If you get annoyed (read: enraged) at all the baby hairs that frame your face (or fall out underneath your bun or ponytail), this every-texture hair product looks like a mascara wand and works like you have a personal hair stylist with you all night to keep your tresses tamed. Hair stays smooth and placed exactly where you want it. This is genius.

    Super Chic Comb

Lately I’ve been reading advice about wide tooth combs, and how much better they are for use on wet hair. This one, which is easily the most stylish thing in our bathrooms despite being, you know…a comb, is ideal for in-shower or just afterward. It’s also designed to offer a soothing scalp massage which has the added benefit of increasing blood flow to your hairs follicles. I have also been told that this comb is excellent for curly hair!
