From Work to Wedding with Nordstrom

Dress: Ted Baker via Nordstrom  |  Jacket: Ted Baker via Nordstrom  |  Pearl and Crystal Earrings: Ily Couture c/o  |  Black Crystal Collar Necklace: Ily Couture c/o  |  Black Pumps: Charles David via Nordstrom  |  White Pumps: Nine West  |  Gold Purse: Kate Spade (similar here and more below!)  |  Gold Chain Necklace: Ettika (similar here)  |  Polish: Essie (Vanity Fairest)

With wedding season upon us, I’ve teamed up with Nordstrom to showcase some of their amazing dresses that easily allow you to transition from working girl to wedding guest without a hitch.  Weddings are wonderful, but they can be expensive to attend between travel, gifts, and attire.  If you’re investing in new dresses to wear to those special events this spring and summer, it’s important to spend your hard-earned dollars on pieces that will go the distance and also be useful in your everyday life.  Nothing stings more than the sight of all of those expensive dresses hanging in your closet that you’ve only worn once. This Ted Baker dress may seem to fit squarely into the summer party dress category, but if you style it with a blazer and statement necklace, the dress transitions seamlessly to your 9 to 5.  Check out more of my Nordstrom favorites below that will prove to be much more than one-hit wonders.  Don’t let your next investment be the the Chumbawamba of dresses.
