The Pink Dress That Makes Summer Last Forever

DRESS: Saloni (also love THIS affordable version under $70 and THIS ONE too!)  |  SLINGBACKS: Sarah Flint (also love THESE and THESE white slingbacks as well)  |  BAG: old, similar HERE  |  EARRINGS: Baublebar (sold out, similar HERE and HERE)  |  SUNGLASSES: Le Specs

Fall, who?  Never met her.  If seeing the word “September” in a recent meeting invite freaked you right out, this dress will make it all okay again. Leave it to a bold pop of pink and a frankly… perfect floral pattern to convince the mind and the closet that Autumn isn’t even close.  A feminine midi-dress that’s ethereal and fun at the same time is currently keeping my mindset in summer. It’s okay to have trouble letting go, just pour some rosé, Instagram an ice cream cone, and dine al fresco.  Summer isn’t going anywhere, everything will be fine.

This look is centered around the Lea Silk Midi Dress by Saloni which I recently spotted at Nordstrom.  A dress like this isn’t concerned with subtle, and has no idea what “transitional” style even means.  This rooftop party-perfect dress is making a strong case for eternal summer, and giving fans of feminine style a genuine add-to-cart moment.  I’m all about an outfit dictating the mood, and this dress is enjoying herself.

Nordstrom has inspired a lot of those moments lately (you better believe this beauty also just got added to my cart), so it isn’t shocking that I spied this stunning shape with perfect puff sleeves and inspired button detailing and had to make it mine. If you’re wondering if it’s the perfect “hey my friends and I realized we haven’t been on enough rooftops this summer so we organized a last minute hang on a Thursday” dress, I can assure you that it is.  But set aside rooftop parties for a hot sec, think of how perfect this dress is for… every single other potential occasion.  I see myself wearing this to dinner dates, bridal showers, baby showers (let’s go ahead and say all of the showers), and it could even be adorable dressed up at a wedding.  I’m convinced this one’s more versatile than she first lets on.

Is Fall going to show up anyway?  I can neither confirm nor deny, I’m not a meteorologist and my crystal ball’s at the dry cleaners. But can fashion try to stop it? Absolutely, yes. Trust me, you’ll get more than one wear out of this beauty before October, just toss a denim jacket over your shoulders (or even a leather moto!) on almost-chilly nights, and swap your straw bag for a cute top handle.  If you’re looking for your own eternal summer style moment, shop a few more of my favorite warm-weather looks below.  And maybe shove your calendar in a drawer, that’ll help.

  4. Ahhh! I’m currently internally screaming and thinking about doing so externally 😉 because I have now found my new soulmate! This dress is just breathtaking and I’m slightly disappointed because you stole my new found lover. 😉 You wear this dress so, so well and with your hair colour it’s like it was made for you. This dress would actually be perfect to wear in September considering fuchsia is a major fall trend. I love the style of this dress to – it reminds me ones by Reformation. Anyhow, I won’t keep you reading more of my praise so I’ll just leave with a yes! I am a bit in shock with how fast September is coming <3
