Trend Alert: Embroidery

I’m all about the embroidery trend this spring, and these sneakers were the perfect way to dip my toe into warm weather last weekend when we had some sun.  My jacket is a new favorite, with cool lace-up detailing that amps up your basic moto jacket.  It’s made by Blank NYC which also makes this insanely gorgeous (and CHEAP!) embroidered moto jacket which just happens to be included in the crazy Shopbop sale going on now.  Also included in the sale are the Phillip Lim joggers I’m wearing which I also recently wore in this post, and have otherwise been wearing basically every day.  They also come in a navy version here which I currently have in my shopping cart.  If you haven’t hit up the Shopbop sale definitely get on that STAT.  It ends soon and things are selling out left and right.  I’m currently shopping for an upcoming trip to Florida and just purchased these gorgeous white pants and this pretty top.  Once the workday is over, I’m definitely going back to score some sandals and a few dresses I have my eye on.

Speaking of the workday, I’m taking a quick break from the usual onslaught of meetings and work this morning to shoot a fun home decor project with Wayfair!  I’ll be sharing it with you very soon, so stay tuned and in the meantime, check out some behind-the-scenes action on instagram (@maryorton)!  Have a great weekend guys!! You start with a sort of biker girl look and then hit us with those feminine sneakers. Very clever and cute.

A question about the white pants you linked to….I’ve notice that the last couple of pair of pants along with this white pair you’ve shown are very long. So long they appear to drag on the ground when wearing flats? Is that the trend now? And how difficult is it to keep the hems clean? Thanks!

  2. I love the idea of rock & roll with sweet & feminine. That’s what this look says to me, Mary!!
I’m on board with the embroidery trend totally! In fact, I wore a blazer yesterday that has a little of the detailing on it (and it’s from years ago)

I’m not sure if I missed a post explaining, but I’m missing your posts on bloglovin. Is there a reason your not posting new material there anymore?

Obsessed with the embroidered sneakers, but more importantly how you styled them with edgier leather pieces. So chic!! Thanks for sharing.

Influence of embroidery clothes is very powerful. The designs has been influenced by its better embroidery work. As a result of to choose designing clothes, embroidery is the better option and I also prefer hand embroidered jackets and this jacket is really fabulous.
